Bvlgari Orom EDP
Description
Orom is a darker-than-usual vanilla: bourbon vanilla steeped in smoky resins, soft leather and a thread of oud. Part of Bvlgari's Le Gemme, the house's high-perfumery collection in which each scent is tied to a gemstone, Orom takes its cue from labradorite, the iridescent stone found in Madagascar. It was composed by Sophie Labbé and released in 2022. Bvlgari builds it on a vanilla bourbon absolute, Siam benzoin and oud, with a leathery depth running underneath. It wears as a warm, ambery vanilla with a dry, woody edge, closer to a comforting evening scent than a dessert.

FAQ
Does Orom contain real oud?
Yes. Bvlgari names oud as one of its three key materials, alongside bourbon vanilla and Siam benzoin. It sits underneath the vanilla rather than dominating.
Is Orom sweet?
It is a vanilla, but a dark one. The benzoin, leather and oud keep it dry and resinous rather than sugary.
Is it men's or women's?
Bvlgari presents it as masculine; in practice it suits anyone who likes smoky vanillas.
Who created Orom?
Perfumer Sophie Labbé, in 2022.
