Opal is Boadicea the Victorious's 2025 release, composed by Julie Lerendu as an ode to the opal gemstone and the Year of the Wood Snake: inspired, per the brand, by the black opal Napoleon is said to have gifted Joséphine.

Coffee, black pepper, cinnamon and saffron open dark and exotic, cocoa butter, orris, suede and rose build a moody, spiced-floral heart, and it settles into iris, Nepalese sandalwood, cashmeran, cedarwood and patchouli with a mossy undertone. Fragrantica reviewers call it "extremely elegant, unique and sophisticated," noting the notes "blend seamlessly" into something unisex despite a slightly floral opening.
