Boadicea the Victorious Glorious EDP
Description
Glorious is Boadicea the Victorious's sun-ripened fruit-and-spice eau de parfum, composed by Christian Provenzano and released in 2012.
Raspberry, apple, pineapple, peach and plum open bright and jammy, cardamom, nutmeg, jasmine and rose carry a spiced-floral heart, and it lands on gaiac wood, patchouli, sandalwood and vanilla with mossy ambergris underneath. It reads more like a fruit-forward amber than a classic gourmand, sweet without tipping into candy territory.
Scent Character
- Sweet: 34% (vanilla, ripe fruit)
- Woody: 34% (gaiac wood, sandalwood, cedarwood)
- Floral: 11% (jasmine, rose)
- Spicy: 11% (cardamom, nutmeg)
- Fresh: 5% (pineapple top)
- Ambery & Resinous: 5% (ambergris, elemi resin)
Translation: an even split between ripe fruit and dry woods. The base notes keep the sweetness from reading as purely gourmand.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a gourmand fragrance?
Not quite. The fruit and vanilla lean sweet, but an equal amount of gaiac wood, sandalwood and cedarwood keeps it dry rather than dessert-like.
Is it unisex?
Yes. The fruit-forward opening reads bright on anyone, and the woody base gives it enough structure to wear well on men too.
What's the best season for it?
Fall and spring: warm enough for cooler weather, bright enough not to feel heavy.
