Five 1mL samples:

• Bodacious: cherry, cognac, almond and clove over heliotrope and rose, on tobacco, tonka, vanilla and sandalwood. A boozy cherry that avoids candy sweetness.
• Ardent: Turkish rose and saffron with beeswax and jasmine, on vanilla, benzoin, patchouli and agarwood. A warm, honeyed rose-oud.
• Blue Sapphire: lemon, chamomile, marigold and saffron over rose, jasmine and magnolia, on agarwood, patchouli and amber. The house's opulent rose-oud.
• 1907: lemon, cardamom, cinnamon and pink pepper over violet, nutmeg and sage, on tobacco, benzoin, amber and tonka. A spiced tobacco amber (Parfum).
• Hanuman: bergamot, lemon and blackcurrant over neroli, osmanthus and magnolia, on vetiver, cedar, amber and musk. The brightest of the five.

How To Use a Discovery Set

Wear one fragrance per day on bare skin, one or two sprays on the wrist or neck, and give it a few hours. Boadicea builds its bases to last, so the drydown matters more than the first minutes.

Start with Hanuman on a mild day, then move through Bodacious and 1907, and save Ardent and Blue Sapphire, the two rose-ouds, for a cool evening so you can compare them.
