Description

Nabati is a dry, smoky woody extrait with a salty, spiced opening and a leather oud base. Christian Provenzano composed it for Astrophil & Stella, named for Nabati, the vernacular poetry of the Arabian Peninsula, and the house describes it as a smoke fragrance, dry and woody. It opens with sea salt, saffron, cardamom, davana, ambrette and a splash of rum. The heart pairs an iris-cedar accord with Moroccan rose and an aquatic note. The base is where it lives: leather oud, patchouli, cedar, vetiver, moss, cistus labdanum, crystal amber and a little vanilla. It is made at 25% as an extrait.

How It Differs From Nabati Oud

• Nabati: drier and more austere, with sea salt, moss and labdanum, and a leather oud that stays smoky.
• Nabati Oud: warmer and spicier, with star anise and cinnamon, a rose-orris heart and oud with sandalwood in the base.
