Astrophil & Stella Mon Santal Extrait

Description

Mon Santal is a creamy sandalwood with a spiced, rice-powder opening and a soft caramel finish. Margaux Le Paih Guérin composed it for the Italian house Astrophil & Stella as a tribute to the velvety depth of sandalwood. The opening is lively: pink pepper, cardamom and nutmeg, lifted by grapefruit, bergamot and rhubarb, with a starchy rice note that softens it. The heart turns milky and a little smoky with lactonic notes, palo santo and incense. It settles on Australian sandalwood, caramel, vanilla, musk and ambroxan. It is made at 25% as an extrait, and it wears calm and intimate rather than loud.

Scent Character

Translation: sandalwood first, sweetened with caramel and vanilla and spiced up top. The small smoky share is the palo santo and incense in the heart. There is no oud in it.
