Argos Narcissus Obsession in Bloom Extrait
Description
Narcissus Obsession in Bloom is a heady white-and-yellow floral with a spiced, fruity start. Argos took its cue from John William Waterhouse's 1903 painting of Echo and Narcissus, and the fragrance follows the myth: a bright opening, a heady middle, a soft fade. Raspberry, tarragon and clove buds come first, so the start is fruity with a green, spicy edge. Then comes the heart of narcissus absolute, tuberose, jasmine and geranium, the part people will remember. It settles on vanilla, ylang-ylang, musk and Mysore sandalwood, creamy and warm. Argos makes it as an extrait at a 35% concentration. If you like narcotic white florals with some texture to them, start here.
Fragrance Pyramid
- Top: Raspberry, Tarragon, Clove Buds
- Heart: Narcissus Absolute, Tuberose, Jasmine, Geranium
- Base: Vanilla, Ylang-Ylang, Musk, Mysore Sandalwood
Performance
Longevity: Long, as you would expect from a 35% extrait with a sandalwood and vanilla base.
Sillage: Moderate to strong in the first hours; tuberose and narcissus carry.
Projection: About arm's length early on, settling into a creamy floral aura.
An honest note: it is a new release, so there are few long-term wear reports yet. The concentration and the white-floral heart both point to a long-lasting scent, but test it on your skin first.
Best Occasions & Season
Wearable year-round, and at its best on Spring and Summer evenings and warm nights out. Unisex, though it reads floral first. Skip it for a crowded office, where the tuberose can be a lot.

FAQ
What does narcissus smell like in a perfume?
Heady and slightly green, with a honeyed, hay-like depth. Here it sits with tuberose and jasmine, so the heart is rich and creamy.
Is it sweet?
Lightly. Raspberry gives a fruity start and vanilla softens the base, but the florals lead.
Is it men's or women's?
Argos presents it as unisex. It wears as a bold floral, so it suits anyone who enjoys white flowers.
How strong is it?
It is a 35% extrait, so a spray or two is enough. Expect it to last well into the evening.
