Description

Danaë is a luminous woody scent, citrus over a warm stack of cedar, guaiac and Mysore sandalwood. Argos released it in 2021 in its Artist Series I, inspired by Gustav Klimt's 1907 painting of Danaë receiving Zeus as a shower of gold. Bergamot and Sicilian lemon make a clean, bright opening. The heart is guaiac wood, cedar and cashmere wood with pink peppercorn, dry and gently spiced. The base is Mysore sandalwood, patchouli and musk with sweet cistus, which leaves a soft, sensual glow. It wears unisex and suits anyone who wants an easy, radiant woody.

Translation: woody above everything, from cedar, guaiac, cashmere wood and sandalwood. Citrus gives it a fresh lift and pink pepper a light spice. The resinous share comes from cistus and patchouli, not from oud.
